Hi,

Thanks for your interest in 2011's Darkness on the Edge of Town mountain bike race.

The race is on Saturday 29 October from 4pm to 10pm (6 hour) and from 4pm to 7pm (3 hour). Sign on will be at the race track from 2.30pm on Saturday 29 October. To find directions to Bom Bom SF click on the Grafton link, above.

We will post any updates on the Grafton City Cycles facebook page and by email to competitors.

This will be a small, relaxed event. We’ve kept the entry fee low and the event simple. There won’t be any race bags but there will be prizes for first, second and third places in all categories.

You’ll need to bring food, water and - most importantly – lights, if you plan on doing night laps. Make sure your lights have all the charge you need because there won't be recharging facilities.

Even though we are delighted to have you on board, we understand that people's situations can change from day to day. Unfortunately we will not refund entry fees after 22 October. If you do need to withdraw there will be a $10 admin fee. However, if you want to change distances or categories at any time, you can. There is a $10 admin fee for class changes. We will be watching the weather because the Bom Bom tracks can become unrideable after heavy rain. If the forecast for the week before the event if too wet we will make a decision to cancel on Saturday 22 October. If we decide to cancel we will refund your entry fee less a $10 admin fee per person.

Plenty of people like the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the track before the event. Naturally, you are welcome to do that at any time up until the track is declared closed just before race start. Final marking of the track will beduring Friday 28 October but, meantime, below is a Google Map of the course - enjoy! .
